Selective Rationalization

When we want to do something, and don't think we can, we compare ourselves with those who do it well and look for all the ways they're different.

They're smarter. Have better luck, leads, connections. Etc.

When we think we can do it, we find all the ways we are similar.

This is like the Henry Ford quote, "Whether you think you can, or you think you can't - you're right."

You can rationalize the ways you can.

Or you can rationalize the ways you can't.

It's up to you.
